Related: Aredhel's recap | Noric's recap As my brothers and sister in arms have already shared, Team Diplomacy shared an adventure of valor and exploration today, the 16th of High Spring. I arrived in town on the 14th, and spent the following two days seeking information on the local smithy, and contacts from the smith's guild. I also sought to make contact with any clerics or temples linked to my deity, Njord. Njord is pretty great by the way, you should check him out. Finding the smithing activity in town to be...lacking, I drifted towards the nearest pub where I encountered a group of clerics, and ale. None had heard of Njord, but I quickly corrected that lapse. Apparently this crew are adherents to Sif and Set, but they seemed alright nonetheless. They spoke of an ongoing situation in the area regarding some miserable hag (hags?), and some lizards, and some territorial related madness (ye gods) but all I heard was an opportunity for adventure so I joined their party. Having spent most of my 35 years either in a temple or at the forge, the opportunity to explore a new land called strongly. They were accompanied by an elven ranger, Carric, and a human soldier, Kellen, both of whom seemed quite capable of holding their own. Being a party of three clerics up to this point, we needed people to heal so the more the merrier. Surely, these folk would prove invaluable in our quest to reclaim the lost staff of one of the local townsfolk.

11/12/2017 0 Comments Noric's first adventure in the swampby noric synphase (beau w.) 16-20 hsTL;DR: Strike a deal with the hag to eliminate a threat in a cave; party finds a monument and discovers a blighted creek/falls. Well hello everyone, I am Noric Synphase and boy do I have a story to tell you. It begins on the 16th day of Spring, with Aredel, Kellen, Carric, Tormund and myself all wanting to head out to explore the shipwreck to the West. The party was asleep when we were awoken just before dawn by a horrible blue skinned "Sea Creature" charging out of the ocean. We were graced by the "Gods" not to be harmed by it, but quickly dispatched this creature with expert skill and a bit of luck. As a warning to any other creatures in the area, we put his severed head on HIS own trident and proceeded Westward to the shipwreck. Meeting up with the Hag, we ask for the staff back, striking a deal. The deal was to eliminate a threat that is in a cave that is even farther West. Once we are done, we can get the staff back. With our expert negotiating skills, we struck the deal and ventured farther into the swamp and went searching for this cave. After a long day of avoiding some deadly birds and finding a monument, the party decides to search the surrounding area. Thank goodness we had a dwarf that could inspect the ruins and this structure could be way older than anything else in the area. The biggest thing of note was that the door leading into the ruins was sealed from the inside. That same day we find some large grazing “Cow” like creatures feasting on the hillside eating the grass and minding their own business. To the West of these creatures was a blighted creek flowing from Northwest to the South where it has a small waterfall about 30’ tall. While “I” was gathering firewood for the evening I was savagely attacked by a flying snake that almost killed me in one strike. Thank goodness I have a strong constitution or you may not be hearing this story from my lips. Quickly destroyed by the blast from a friendly cleric, I made it out alive. We rested for the evening, and during this rest, the huge “Cow like” creatures that weighed over 1,000 pounds each were savagely attacked in the middle of the night and one was carried off toward the blighted creek. By the way, we have no idea where this disease is originating from. Before we travel any further, we all decided to return to this tavern to tell you what we have found. You know, just in case we do not make it out alive once we travel back Westward to investigate this source of the blighted creek. I hope all of you enjoyed this story, for there is so much more than just a shipwreck to the West. A Hag that has a small contingent of blue skinned guards, a huge nest of flat beaked birds as large as a human to the West of that on a hillside, a sealed obelisk temple with a sealed door Northwest of that and finally a blighted creek a half of a mile to the west of the obelisk. Happy hunting!!!! 11/12/2017 0 Comments diplomacy & solutionsby aredhel lethe (Eve a) 16-20 hsTL;DR: Made a bargain with the sea hag, found an obelisk, discovered hills and giant cow herd to the west, found Tainted Falls Kellen, Aredhel, Carric, Tormund, Noric go out on adventure -- had two elves and three clerics! Saw predator bird in the forest. Keep going. Six birds three nests. Rest for night -- split watch between the two elves -- my watch right before it ends there's a slippery blue devil out to sea, I wake everyone, we wreck it without taking any damage (I crit it for 19 damage in one hit). Slippery blue devil head impaled on trident on beach past birds facing sea right before dawn of the 17th - before terrain shifts to southern forest. I took 31 of its teeth -- they're sharp like sharks. Parlayed with the hag, Molly Bonecrusher, who has the staff. We saw it and she wanted to see our holy relics so we lit stuff up with thaumaturgy to pretend... She wanted my holy symbol brain piece of a saint in exchange for the staff -- decided to kill something for her instead creatures of the far realm live in the cave approach carefully or it will be our grave. Multiple hearts? Multiple bodies? She didn't step on the beach... we move on Dozen big birds nesting on shore - have to go into forest. Pair of two feathered lizards - pair of sorel - had to go maybe a half mile on our turn to by pass birds. Obelisk half mile in - near draw - very visible from shore because on foothill roll a few hundred feet above sea level - arched recess door is more of a slab pushed up and sealed from inside where two people would be able to walk comfortably through it -- sunken partially into earth 7 feet seen of maybe 15 feet - construction predates everything we would know - made from huge slabs - blunt and direct ----- not Elven - base built around spire -- mortared in - some stress fissures in the center of top of the base - obelisk and base same age. Dwarven marker etched on the east side of the door. Lots of large herd animals bigger than any we've seen a significant distance north of the obelisk - rolling hills then mountains in the distance. by Kellen McCall (Steve B.) 14-18 hsTL;DR: Party ventures to a shipwreck to recover a druid's staff and takes a quest from her instead. Encounter an obelisk, giant cows, a cave, and see mountains to the northwest. Tormund's Recap | Noric's Recap | Aredhel's Recap I’ve come to a sliver of civilization out here and teamed up with some others to retrieve an item one of their friends has lost. There is a shipwreck not far from here that is the domain of a hag, some type of nasty supernatural creature. Off we went in search of this creature and this staff. Our party consisted of Carric, an Elf who seems well versed with woodcraft and tracking, Noric and Tormund, two clerics, Tormund a Dwarf, and Aredhel, a Drow cleric. Three clerics, yes I had all the healing I could need though I actually did not need any. Carric and Aredhel, both Elves, covered the watches, I actually got a full night sleep. And Aredhel kept foraging for food, clams along the shore. Yes, I was fully rested and got seafood dinners! Aredhel seemed a little…odd, kept muttering curses at the sun, and exclaiming her wish to extinguish the sun, a bad idea I believe, but what do I know, I just swing a sword. We ventured out and spent our first day simply travelling. That night, as we slept, a creature snuck up on us, and attacked. The others managed to hold it off till I awoke and finished it off. Then I took its head and it’s trident and left a grim totem in place on the beach. When we reached the shipwreck, there was some talking with the hag, she speaks in rhymes and riddles. Of course nothing is ever easy, and she wants another creature dead. Says it’s something with multiple hearts, from the Far Realms, and lives in a cave to the west. So, we head west. 11/7/2017 0 Comments meeting with dufdorby ayten gilrin (vera d) 14 hsTL;DR: Leave ancient monuments and artifacts alone; maintain balance by staying out of the bayou. Otherwise, replace those which you displace. Report also contains information about the ancient Eladrinne in the obelisk and the names and relationships of the hags. Dear Theobold, A party of us (Lindir of Shield, Aredhel, Glin, Shaena Tosscobble, and a new explorer, Grildor Trueforge) met with Dufdor tonight. I told him about the spire falling in and fighting the undead wight while Lindir mentioned the discovery of the painting that appears to be a portal to the feywild. Dufdor was displeased and said we need to leave alone the ancient monuments that survived the Great Cataclysm. He noted that there is a place in the west that we especially must not disturb and that the lizardfolk are united in protecting it from interference because the great evil within is worse than the hags. No matter who is in charge, the chiefs rely on honor to guard the pyramid. He knew of the tomb that I explored with Rawq, the Greenfelds, and Morgrimm, and said that the beings on the murals are fey called Eladrinne who thrived before elves are the elves that we know of today. The Eladrinne harnessed ancient magic that still have a presence in the bayou. Dufdor cautioned us against awakening the hags. He said the bayou is their playground and their anger has yet to be awakened. The hags are:
