12/30/2017 0 Comments Investigation in The Dredgeby Theobold Peacekeeper (Alan h.) 30 spring fellTL;DR: Sick necromancer put undead girl in a teddy bear (wtf Kunal!); Undead horde centered on a wooden staff; Saved live captives from the undead and discovered a church in Tallat’s Hill and learned of the Kenku Outkast Village. Against my better judgement, I decided to join Brynn’s expedition to The Dredge to try uncovering the source of the undead. I am no warrior, and I don’t think it’s necessarily possible to use diplomacy with undead, but it is a Herald’s job to secure the safety of their people and allies, and while the undead continue to walk the streets, we are not able to freely traverse to the different city sectors and further our alliances with the native factions of Summerport. In the unfortunately poor meeting that Salazar led with The Fist, he was at least able to get some leads of what is going on from their leader, Palmador. The undead have been observed to hold some faction with the Kenku and seemingly take orders from them, as we’ve seen and replicated with the use of illusions. Palmador revealed that the source of the undead can be found in The Dredge, so that is where Brynn decided his god, Gaia, should lead him. With our group formed, we headed off to the southeast in search of The Dredge. Along the way, we found a curious toy shop that seemed well preserved compared to most of the old structures, guarded by undead skeletons that we made short work of. Brynn detected undead within, so we decided to explore it. Tharrus picked up some spools of gold and silver thread, that seemingly had an enchantment of longevity on them. We came into a room with a large teddy bear in it, which radiated the undead energy. I cant remember who struck the blow to tear it open and see what was within, but we did hear the words “papa” echoed by a cursed undead girl before seeing her put to rest. Unfortunately, we could not stick around for a complete burial, but hoped for time on the way back. Whatever necromancer is doing this undead stuff is truly a sick individual to imprison a young girl inside of a toy bear….

Dear Mum, Today I made my way to a city. I don’t remember it’s name, but it is nice. I think you would like it. There are many open spaces. Also small animals run around everywhere. It is unnatural. They should flee from man and me. They don’t. There are druids here. They don’t keep the wild ways. They tend garden. We also met a necromancer, who has touched the far realms. She says there is necromancy in the Church. Nothing makes sense here. I have been minding my manners, I think you would be proud of me. We helped save some farmers from fey beasts. As I get closer to the forest I feel closer to home. I can now turn into animals. But I forgot to tell you what we are doing. My pack has heard of things coming in and taking pets and small animals. They were described as walking on two feet, 4 feet tall, and some were brown others spotted. We followed their tracks and the scrapes they left in the stones. That is when we found the displacer beasts that killed the farmers. I am hoping to get further into the forest soon. I miss you very much. Peter by brynn (steve D.) 21 spring fellSee Jerimiah's Recap GAIA DAMN IT! DAMN THESE PIRATES FOREVER!!!! They bring nothing but pain and chaos! They’re going to get everyone in Summerport killed! We were supposed to meet with representatives of the Fist at the safe house at midnight, but the morning before Thrugg thought it would be a good idea to summon some wolves with his damn accordion! And oh boy Gaia did he summon some wolves! When he started playing awful music, four winter wolves with bright blues eyes came charging at us! Along with the old gang of Salazar, Thrugg, and Dwain, we had two new members in our party Gaia. The first was Jeramiah, a half-orc who appears to be quite skilled in magic, and Doross, a poor half-elf who was frozen to death by one of the white wolves in this encounter. Short of introducing himself I don’t believe I even heard him say a word. His frozen body has been placed in front of the entrance of the Thieves Tankard in honor of his memory. His death is on Thrugg’s hands Gaia, and I hope this traveler’s deceased soul finds peace with you. This battle with the white wolves was the last thing we needed to be involved in right before the meeting. We shouldn’t even be fighting wolves as they, like all living things, are one with you. We should be fighting the undead! But I digress… 12/21/2017 0 Comments Venture into the Waywardby Rube Lastname (Alan H.) 28 Spring FellI arrived in the port town of Cavalier’s Watch with a super tough dragon guy named Rhogar, a super smart gnome named Diamondshard, and a fancy druid named Peter the Wolf.
It turns out that the big city in The Wayward is missing. I wonder where Far Reach went? Rumors are around of some kinda codex that holds the key to it all. I’ve heard of something called the Pendant of Courage I may need to track down too. Arriving in town, we met Remeth, the constable of the town in a guard group known as The Epoch and apparently devout follower of Bahamut. He was nice enough and gave us the low-down of what's going on. We decided to track down some missing pets. There was a poor kitty missing! There’s also rumors of some plant light on the east side of the town, but maybe we’ll save that for a rainy day. We found the cats owner, Arun, in the Bones of Sereus. This place was super spooky. I guess she’s some kind of death cleric that lays people to rest and worships some god named Cthulu. She told us the folks that took her cat, Isaac, were about 4ft tall, came at night, had long claws, and as Peter proved, were easy to track. We walked along west to track them and as we got toward the farms, all the farmers seemed to be freaking out about something. We spoke to Vatir about it it and I guess something was tearing folks apart. That doesn’t sound cool! Not cool at all! We went to a large tree in the center of the field to get a vantage point at what had everyone spooked. Some kind of large interdimensional cats known as displacer beasts were seen charging through the crops towards us, and through a tough fight, managed to take out 4 of them. Unfortunately, these were smaller than textbooks back in Sanctus have described them, and we quickly found out what a full size displacer beast was when the mom showed up. Thanks to Rhogar’s skill and some well placed assistance from the rest of us, we managed to prevai Thanks to some smart choices from Peter and the others, we harvested some of the interdimensional displacer beast’s hides, claws, and blood to be used in crafting of powerful magical artifacts. Hopefully we can figure a use for them. Now where’d that cat, Isaac get to? |
