by Theobold peacekeeper (alan H.) 13 SpringfellSee Fagan's Recap | See Kohaku's Recap It seems The Fist have been closer than we thought. As we began planning an expedition to find them in Eastern Seaward to the North East, we noticed tankards emptying left and right. It turns out a youth from The Fist was in our midst this whole time, a young girl named Tilith. We learned quite a bit from her. The Fist all have necklaces that provide them warmth and protect them from the cold elements. I have offered her to come freely into the tavern and trade them for ale if she wishes, as I’m sure many would find them useful. She seemed excited by this and made the magic necklaces sound very common amongst her people. She also informed us of the embassy group planned to arrive on SF 14, tomorrow, and who they are. Its a group of traders and tribesmen that have a network that spans more of Summerport, including a place called Kegrove. She also mentioned an enclave of monks across the city. I wish we could have learned more, but she seemed overwhelmed by guilt at getting caught and vanished from our sight again as soon as we looked away from her. We then headed toward the Obelisk in preparation of heading to Eastern Seaward, and much to my dismay found that all of the inscriptions were missing. The only difference I could think of is that we found the inscriptions at night, so maybe that has something to do with the cause. Kohaku had a brilliant idea to shed magical moonlight on it, and sure enough, it revealed the foreign markings of the Eladrin that we managed to get 7 pages of vigorous rubbings from. On our way back from the adventure, in the bright moonlight of 13 SF, I was able to clearly make out the entire northeast wall of the obelisk and will work to translate what I found. To the north of the Obelisk, we found what used to be an abandoned embassy. The front was locked and seemed well constructed. If we manage to clear this and really get a foothold here, I would love to make this the base of operations for the Heralds in Summerport. When we entered the courtyard in back, 2 rabbits were in the snow, and promptly dropped the papers they had in their paws and fled. Oddly enough they were clothed… and promptly dashed away into the building. As we ventured inside, we heard more dashing and one of them fervently dashed out the window from the second story, witnessed by Mindartis’ familiar. Kohaku and myself had the ability to speak with animals and were able to understand them. One group with Tharrus and Kohaku went to check on the injured rabbit, and witnessed it rise up after being healed of its wounds only to promptly flee “to fight another day”.
We confronted the other one on the rooftop and I managed to magically suggest it to talk to us, revealing his name to be Assistant Fluffy Ears, and revealed that they are friends with Kenku but are working on mysterious and nefarious plots against them...or the city? It was unclear. We then found a large portrait portraying a humanoid rabbit labelled Maestro Floppybottoms, dated nearly 700 years ago to before the Cataclysm. There is legend in Sanctus of island of bunnies….could this have been their embassy in Summerport? We found several books, including a rabbit dictionary, rabbit fairytales, and a history of the rabbit empire. Surely we can make use of these to study their culture and prepare for future encounters. The oddest thing we found was a chest with parchment containing a purchase order from the Kenku for 45 “pleasure models”. What this eludes to, I have no idea, but it doesn't sound good and rings of sex trafficking. Players: Tharrus (Mike B) Ivan (Jacob) Mindartis (Michael D) Blizkin (Joe) Fagan (Jason) Kohaku (Matt) Theobold (Alan)
